Mini Project and Simulation

  • “Football Score Prediction for World Cup 2018 Group Stage”, 2018, with Benedict Tan

We apply machine-learning technics to predict the total scores of the football games in the group stage of the World Cup 2018.  The training dataset is obtained from Oddschecker.com.

  • “Baccarat Strategy Simulation”, 2018, with Benedict Tan

We run simulations and compare the return distributions across different betting strategies.

  • “Finance Faculty Turnover and Co-authorship Networks”, 2019

The main objective of this project is twofold: (a) to produce an interactive visualization of the co-authorship networks with each node representing a faculty member or an author; (b) to quantify the level of interactivity between faculty members and/or Ph.D. students at both within-school level and between-school level using graph theory.
